In short

Paint Online is a free coloring site, mostly used by children with their families. We do not ask for accounts, names or any personal data to paint. We only process the minimum needed to run the site, show ads (if you accept cookies) and operate the optional features described below.

What we store in your browser

Your painting progress, your recent colors and your cookie choice are saved in your browser's local storage, on your device only. They never reach our servers and you can delete them at any time by clearing your browser data.

Cookies and advertising

We show ads through Google AdSense and may measure visits with Google Analytics. These services use cookies and similar identifiers, and may personalize ads based on your browsing. They are loaded only after you press "Accept" in the cookie notice. If you choose "Only what is needed", no third-party cookies are set and the site works exactly the same, without ads. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookies" link in the footer. Learn more about how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Because many of our visitors are children, we request that Google treat ads on this site as child-directed and serve non-personalized ads where required by law.

Email newsletter (optional)

If an adult subscribes to be notified of new drawings, we store the email address, the language, the date and the confirmation status. We send a confirmation email first (double opt-in) and never share the address. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to us to be removed.

Shared artworks (optional)

If you use "Publish my artwork", the painted image, the drawing it is based on, the date and an optional first name are stored on our server and get a public link. We also keep a hashed form of the IP address for 30 days, solely to prevent abuse. Artworks appear in the community gallery after moderation. To remove an artwork, write to [email protected] with its link.

Server logs

Like every website, our hosting provider keeps technical logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting, normally for a few weeks.

Children

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the age set by local law). The newsletter and artwork publishing are intended to be used by an adult. If you believe a child provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete any data we hold about you (newsletter address, published artwork) by writing to [email protected]. We answer within 30 days.

We will post any change to this policy on this page with a new date.
